The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, seeks $50 million in damages and says Jeffrey Toobin's article destroyed Fuhrman's reputation as a police officer. The lawsuit said Fuhrman was exposed to "hatred, contempt and ridicule" as a result of the article, in which unidentified defense attorneys said Fuhrman may have been motivated by latent racism and moved a bloody glove from the crime scene to Simpson's estate.
