The relatively new Reese's candy bar, Nutrageous, is on our testers' plates today. We found the 2.8-ounce, king-size bar on special at Smith's for 63 .
Don Russell (married, five children at home, ages 6-16): "This candy bar has been a popular family favorite at our house since it came out several months ago. Our teenage son is especially fond of it. Nutrageous is essentially a Hershey-blend of peanuts, chocolate and caramel. If you have yet to try it, you might be in for a pleasant surprise."Edyth Jensen (married, three children at home): "Hey this is good! I'm leary of peanut butter stuff, flavor-wise, but I enjoyed it! We'll probably buy it again."
Nihla Lake (married, two children at home): "This was all our favorite chocolate-peanuts-caramel-peanut butter bars rolled into one. Deciding that it was way too rich to be consumed by one person at a single sitting, I elected to share it with my husband. For various reasons - health, etc. - we're both on a low-fat diet. This little killer bar blew away our whole allotment for the week, but - smack - it was worth it."
Linda C. Tingey (single mother, two teenage boys at home): "Mmmm, mmmm! This is not only outrageously delicious, but it's nutrageously delicious! I love peanuts and will eat anything with peanuts in it. These aren't peanut pieces, but whole peanuts. It's a scrumptious candy bar. I'll definitely put this on my goodie list. I thought nothing could ever top peanut butter cups, but Reese's did it again. Another hit!"
Rich Firmage (married, four children, oldest 10 years old): "I've tried Nutrageous before and I like it. The whole peanuts are good. This is a good candy bar."
Bill Allred (single): "What can be said of this candy bar other than what it says about itself? It's nutrageous! Peanut butter, peanuts all wrapped up with caramel and milk chocolate all makes for a pretty tasty treat. Some may find this candy bar too sweet. The king-size bar was too big for me to eat all by myself. Thank goodness for Jenne's help. We might buy another one of those to share."
Conclusion: We think Nihla said it best, Nutrageous is your favorite candy bars all rolled into one! Chocolate, peanut, caramel fans, run don't walk to the nearest candy store.
