Kelly Day Ridd, 39, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, died of a heart attack June 23, 1995 doing what he enjoyed the most--water skiing with his family.
Born April 7, 1956 in Murray, Utah to LaMar Day Ridd and Gwen Davis. He married Brande Sue Bogden in Sandy, Utah on April 28, 1979. He served an LDS Mission to Germany in 1975-77 and was employed by Earl Holding as Chief of Maintenance Aviation. He was presently serving as a counselor in the Young Men's Organization and was coach of Hillcrest-Midvale Babe Ruth Baseball League, 14-15 year olds. He touched the lives of all who knew him.Survivors: wife, Brande Sue, Midvale; sons, Adam Kelly, 15, Josef Daniel, 14, both Midvale; father and present wife, LaMar and Jeane Ridd, Sun Lakes, Arizona; sister, Kathleen Ipson (Don), Draper; brothers, D. Blaine (Nancy), Holladay; Darwin L. (Rosemarie), Idaho; Glade E. (Kami), Midvale; grandmother, Etta Day Ridd, Salt Lake City; grandparents, Edmund and Jody Fehr, Midvale; mother-in-law, Pat Bogden, Midvale; father-in-law, Stan Bogden, Salt Lake City; brothers-in-law, Christopher Bogden, Midvale; Michael Bogden, (Pam), Pocatello, Idaho; also many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Davis Ridd; grandparents, Heber Eugene Ridd; Frank and Gladys Davis.
Funeral services Tuesday, June 27, 1995, at 1:00 p.m. in the Midvale 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 300 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. The family would like to express thanks to all those who helped at the lake.
