Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Marion Cleone Kohler Yost, died Saturday, July 8, 1995, at her home in Provo, Utah.
She was born September 15, 1922, in Midway, a daughter of Albert and Elsie Richards Kohler. She married Thad Orlo Yost on December 7, 1962, in the Manti LDS Temple.She attended Wasatch High School and Seminary and attended the Salt Lake General Hospital School of Nursing and BYU. She received a masters degree from the University of Washington. She taught nursing at LDS Hospital, BYU and Ricks College. She was a nurse in the Navy during World War II and during the Korean Conflict.
She was a dedicated member of the LDS Church, having served a mission in the North Central States and held many responsible positions in the church.
Survivors include her husband of Provo; four sons, Thad Orden (Georgia) Yost, Eric (Tamera) Yost, Albert (Stacey) Yost, all of Salt Lake City; Clair Elton Yost, Tetonia, Idaho; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters, Alvah (Monica) Kohler and Zelda (Henry) Isaksen, both of Midway; Richard (Lou Ann) Circuit, LaJolla, Calif.; Eloise (Kay) Robins, Provo; Barbara (Joe) Christensen, Salt Lake City; Kathleen (Ben) Linsay, Bountiful; Elizabeth (Dee) Ritchie, Fairbanks, Alaska; Margaret (Bill) Hyde, Yuma, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Roy, and two sisters, Glenna and Anna Lynn.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 1995, in the Edgemont 9th Ward, 4300 North Canyon Road, Provo. Friends may call at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home in Orem at 600 East 800 North on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the ward chapel one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bancroft, Idaho Cemetery on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
