Josie Bissett is tired of being the wimp on "Melrose Place." Bissett, who plays the often-victimized Jane Mancini on the Fox television show, says she complained about Jane's fate last season.
"Jane would do something dumb and I'd yell at the TV, `Oh, how can you be so stupid!' I just hate that she gets stepped on all the time," Bissett says in the July 29 issue of TV Guide.The gripe got results: Bissett said Jane is getting an intriguing story line in the fall, when she takes over a clothing design business and beds the chief executive officer on her own terms.
The 24-year-old actress says she plans to leave "Melrose" when her contract is up in two years. She's married to "Silk Stalkings" star Rob Estes.
