Boyd J. Hutchison, 31, passed away on July 3, 1995, at the Brigham City Community Hospital from complications of a brain tumor.
He was born May 23, 1964, in Evanston, Wyoming; a son of Jack and Vera Taylor Hutchison. He married Shauna Haderlie; they were later divorced. He married Terri Anne Hensley on April 13, 1993 in the Logan LDS Temple.He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a teacher's advisor, stake missionary leader, Eagle Scout and Elder's Quorum presidency. Boyd was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed BYU Sports.
He graduated from Brigham Young University with a mechanical engineering degree. He was a ballistics and shuttle motor engineer at Thiokol Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, one son and three daughters, Tyler Jack Hutchison, Heather Marie Hutchison, both of Brigham City; Elizabeth Esther Hutchison and Michelle Susan Hutchison, both of Fruit Heights, Utah. Also surviving are his parents, Jack and Vera Hutchison, Orem; grandparents, Glen and Susan Taylor, Elbo, Idaho; two brothers and two sisters: Alan and Lynda Hutchison, Spanish Fork; Brad and Riquel Hutchison, Mt. Pleasant, Utah; Tonia and Orlando Kelm, Austin, Texas; Teresa and Brian Lees, Provo, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Brigham City South Stake Center, 865 South 300 West, with Bishop Byron Hansen conducting. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South in Brigham City and on Thursday morning at the stake center one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 North 650 East, in Provo, with graveside service at 3:30 p.m.
