Lenora Bingham Kennedy, 89, passed away peacefully August 24, 1995.

She was born March 15, 1906 in Riverdale, Utah, the seventh of ten children of Adam Aranthon and Annie Stratton Bingham. She married David Matthew Kennedy on November 4, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were happily married almost 70 years.Her many church callings included Young Women President, Counselor in the Relief Society and Primary and a teacher in several organizations. At the time of her death, she was still serving as a Visiting Teacher.

She was a gracious, elegant lady and an Ambassador with her husband for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She traveled throughout the world with him in his church callings and when he was Secretary of the Treasury. She was loved by all who knew her.

Lenora was totally unselfish and without guile. She was at home with people from all walks of life, and she loved each one. Her family and church were the most important things in her life. She blessed the lives of all she knew with her loving concern and service.

Survived by her husband, David M. Kennedy; four daughters: Marilyn Taylor and husband, Verl; Barbara Law and husband, Carl; Carol Davis and husband, Ben, all Salt Lake City; Patricia Campbell and husband, Lewis, Pleasant View; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth James and husband, William, Ogden.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Mt. Olympus 4th Ward Chapel, 4176 South Adonis Drive (3950 East). Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and Monday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, Utah.
