Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Reid Theron Phillips, age 53, died August 24, 1995, in West Jordan, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born April 25, 1942, in Ogden, son of Theron J. and Faye Hipwell Phillips. Married Deane Gail Glick June 9, 1962 in Virginia. A member of the LDS Church, Reid was raised in Ogden and graduated from Weber County High School and the LDS Seminary. He served in the United States Armed Forces and was a member of the American Legion Post #132. He was a welder by trade. He loved hunting, fishing and golfing and got his one and only hole-in-one at the Pebblebrook Golf Course. He especially enjoyed spending time with his boys and grandkids.Survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Reid, Jr., West Jordan, Blair D. (Shelly) Phillips, Everett (Tammy) Phillips and Sean Phillips, all of West Valley; daughters, Dionne Ahlstrom and Heidi (Mark) Romero, both of West Jordan; parents, Theron and Faye Phillips of West Haven; brother, Craig A. (Julie) Phillips of West Haven; and sister, Janice (Reed A.) Myers of South Ogden; several nieces and nephews; and by 14 grandchildren; April, Amber, Kaelynn, Christopher, Jamie, Blair, Jr., Aaron, Austin, Tyler Everett, Sabrina, Tiana, Trevor, Travis and Everett Jordan. Reid was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Marion Phillips and Samuel and Thelma Hipwell, as well as one cousin and two aunts.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 1861 West 7800 South, West Jordan. Military honors will be provided at the cemetery by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
