Leo Rees Thomas, Jr., 61, died Sept. 9, 1995 from complications associated with diabetes.

Born August 30, 1934 in Salt Lake City, a son of Leo R. and Virginia Cardwell Thomas. Married Bonnie Driggs on June 18, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Leo retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of service. His greatest hobby was restoring antique cars. He took great pride in showing and driving his cars. He enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his family. We will all miss him dearly.

Survived by his wife of 41 years; children: LuAnn Brock, Larry (Rebecca), Diane (Keith) Procter, Dale (Louise), and Michael (Yvette); eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Joseph (Rachel) and Fred (Bonnie Gay); sisters, Jerry (Chad) White, Maureen (Gordon) Duarte, Judy (John) Champlin, and Karen (Terry) Johnson. Preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Leo, who died in 1956, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, at 12 noon in the Poplar Grove Ward Chapel, 1401 West 700 South. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
