First college football was hit by the Rocket and the Missile and now, the Bomb?

Sulaiman Ismail, younger brother of the Oakland Raiders' Raghib "Rocket" Ismail and the Minnesota Vikings' Qadry "Missile" Ismail, is trying to follow in his siblings' footsteps by walking on as a wide receiver at Texas-El Paso. The speedster, who has been nicknamed "the Bomb" by fellow Miners players, didn't give the team any warning. He just walked in last week and asked for a uniform, and head coach Charlie Bailey complied.

"We didn't know he was coming," said Bailey.

But it doesn't mean they're not glad to have him.

"He's very fast and it looks like he has decent hands," offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey said. "We'll work with him and certainly give him a chance."

Ismail said he hopes to earn a football scholarship and also has talked to UTEP track coach Bob Kitchens about joining his team. Kitchens said Ismail will run in both indoor and outdoor events.
