Arba C. (Ace) Christensen died on September 19, 1995, following a fierce, but courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 23, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Christian Faireld and Anna Ellen Olsen Christensen. He was a long-time resident of Murray, where he graduated from Murray High School with a promising athletic career. He was an outstanding athlete. A "Greetings and Salutations" call from "Uncle Sam" interrupted a summer training camp with the New York Yankees. He continued to play ball during his tour of duty with the U.S. Navy Seabees and even later on for the American Legion.Ace was a good man, a conscientious man and a hard working man. He was well known in the construction/excavating business and during the past several years, was a dedicated employee of the Olympus Hotel. He loved his family very much.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Suzie White and Julia (Michael) Mortensen; a son, Frank Christensen, and seven grandchildren, Hillary, Heather, Cody, Boyd, Andrew, Samantha and Jesse. Also survived by two sisters, LaDonna (Glen) Whitlock, and Myrna (Fred) Roennebeck, and one brother, Faireld J. (Wanda) Christensen, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and father; and brothers and sisters, Duane J. Christensen, Harold Christensen, Eva VanGerven and Nahrean Rasmussen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 22, 1995, 10 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
