Two men escaped the new minimum security prison facility here Saturday morning, but they weren't discovered missing until the noon roll call, a Utah State Prison spokesman said.

Anthony Scott Bailey, 27, Salt Lake City, and Eric Neil Fischbeck, 21, Taylorsville, apparently climbed under a fence just west of the year-old Promontory pre-release facility, said prison spokesman Jack Ford. The men were last seen at 9:30 a.m. and were not present for roll call.Prisoners who occupy the minimum security facility are regarded as trusties rather than prisoners, said Ford.

Both men were scheduled for parole hearings in January, said Ford.

Bailey was convicted of burglary in 1993, and Fischbeck was convicted of drug possession and burglary in 1992.
