Pearl B. Wintch, 89, passed away December 29, 1995, of causes incident to age.

She was born December 8, 1906, in Manti, Utah, and was raised by her grandparents, Walter A. and Mary L. Bessey. She married Ardray M. Wintch on May 9, 1928, in Richfield. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.She attended schools in Manti and Utah State University. After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught school in Carbon and Emery Counties and in Manti. She was a member of the LDS Church and very active in Relief Society. She was a talented seamstress and loved sharing her talents with those around her. She made many wedding dresses, quilts, coats, etc. She worked for many years at Jensen's Department Store in Manti.

She is survived by three sons, Don Carlos (Kathleen), Manti; Charles Walter (Darlene) and David Larry, both Hurricane; daughter-in-law, Darlene Madsen, Boise, Idaho; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband and son, Garth.

She was a very special mother and grandmother and was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Funeral services Wednesday, January 3, 1996, 12 noon at the Manti LDS Stake Center, where friends may call Tuesday, January 2, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10-11 a.m. Burial in the Manti City Cemetery. Under the direction of Buchanan Mortuary.
