Prince Charles' personal assistant and companion to his two sons issued a warning to British newspapers Tuesday against printing gossip concerning her relationship with the heir to the throne.
Tiggy Legge-Bourke, 30, was reported to be upset about reports that she and Charles were becoming too close. In a letter printed in the Daily Mirror, her lawyer referred to a "series of malicious lies" circulating in the press.
"The letter was sent because of rumors that were going around reflecting on Tiggy Legge-Bourke which were totally untrue," her lawyer Peter Carter-Ruck told Reuters.
"It was sent to all the national newspapers," he added, refusing to elaborate on the gossip.
The letter was published as Legge-Bourke, Prince Charles and his sons William, 13 and Harry, 11, began a skiing holiday in the Swiss resort of Klosters.
