Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend passed away suddenly of heart failure January 25, 1996 in Sandy, Utah.

He was born 70 years ago on January 21, 1926 in Huntington, Utah to Joseph Alfred Brown and Mary Mae Hall. Married Glenda LaVon "Bonnie" Lewis on April 14, 1947.Earl served honorably during World War II in the 385th Infantry Regiment in Europe. He worked for the Rio Grande Railroad and after 42 years of faithful service, he happily retired. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling to see the wondrous beauty of the great outdoors with family and friends.

Earl is survived by Bonnie, his wife of 48 years, and their four children: Gregory (Kathy) Brown, Sandy; Donna (Loren) Melander, Fremont, Calif.; Kay (Randy) Hiatt, Riverton; Earla (Steve) Westlake, West Jordan; 14 grandchildren, one and a half great-grandchildren; brother, Ned (Cleo) Brown, Reed Springs, Missouri; brother-in-law, Mark (Joyce) Lewis, Spanish Fork; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandson, parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 1996 at 2 p.m. in the Crescent 17th Ward, 1265 East 11000 So., Sandy. Friends may call Sunday, January 28, 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, or one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
