Two women arrested Friday have been charged in connection with a series of violent home-invasion robberies last week.

Jennifer Madrigal, 20, was charged with two counts and Crystal Vigil, 20, was charged with one count of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. Bail is set at $75,000.Salt Lake Police Lt. John Hodson said officers arrested the women in their homes early Friday without incident. Detectives are still searching for three men who are believed to have participated in at least three break-ins.

Both women were charged with participating in an invasion of an apartment early Sunday near 600 South and 400 East. Madrigal was also charged with a break-in Tuesday morning near 800 South and Park Street (540 East), Hodson said.

In both crimes, three men, accompanied by as many as two women, kicked in the doors of the apartment and home, held occupants at gunpoint and stole credit cards, electronics and other valuables. The victim of the robbery near 600 South and 400 East was struck by one assailant with a beer bottle; a man living in the Park Street home was hit twice on his face.
