Lois Lorene Turner McCormick, 92, passed away October 8, 1996 at her home.

Born November 10, 1903 in Murray, Utah, to Henry Heber and Nellie Louisa Smith Turner. Married Melvin E. McCormick, November 21, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 16, 1979. Active member of LDS Church. Served as Primary president, ward organist, counselor in Relief Society, teacher. Member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.Survived by children, Wanda McCormick, Elaine (Lesly) Smart, Gene (Louise) McCormick, Barbara Denney, Don (Maureen) McCormick, Marian (Wendell) Jackson, Joan (Melvin) Gamble, Reid (Lorene) McCormick; sister, ValVerda Lewis; brother, Clayton (Anna) Turner; 36 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by son, Henry Melvin McCormick, daughter-in-law, Patricia McCormick, brothers, DeWayne Turner, Vinol Turner, Verland Turner, sisters, Stella Turner, Blanche Turner, Doreen Pierson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 1996, 12 noon at Butler 7th Ward, 1435 East 7200 So. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Saturday, 10-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
