The World Series is one of America's oldest big-time sporting events, but this year it will be different than ever before.

It will be televised by Fox.Not that some of the names aren't familiar. Tim McCarver has been part of the broadcast team for several other World Series on different netwoeks. Andy play-by-play man Joe Buck may have baseball in his genes - he's the son of CBS broadcaster Jack Buck.

Filling out the broadcast booth triumverate is Bob Brenley, who will also add analysis.

Game 1 is scheduled to for Saturday at 6 p.m. and Game 2 is set for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be in New York's Yankee Stadium - and both will, of course, be on Fox/Ch. 13.
