Robert Louis Coda, M.D., passed away September 30, 1996.
Bob was born August 15, 1932 in Kankakee, Illinois. In 1958 he graduated from the University of Rochester Medical School in New York and married Susan E. Wederbrand. In 1959 the couple moved to Salt Lake City, where Bob began his career as a general surgeon and where he and his wife raised their family. Bob was a member of 32 Deg. Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and the Utah Medical Assoc. He retired in 1993 to Key West, Florida.He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan W. Coda. He is survived by children, Susan Coda Grube, Severna Park, Maryland; Catherine Coda, Phoenix, Ariz.; Anthony Coda, Salt Lake City; Timothy Coda, Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Patrick and Eric Grube, Saverna Park, Maryland; mother-in-law, Lillian Wederbrand, Salt Lake city; sister, Genny Resler, Kankakee, Illinois; brother, Bernard Coda, Denton, Texas; as well as many loving friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 5, 10 a.m. at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 So. 1700 East.
