New Ladies Literary Club officers were installed recently at a luncheon at the clubhouse, 850 E. South Temple. Mrs. Armis J. Ashby will serve as president through 1997. She succeeds Mrs. Cliffton N. Memmott.
Also installed were Mrs. Lou Ann Carstensen, first vice president; Mary Coleen Day, second vice president; Mrs. Ray B. Tadje, recording secretary; Mrs. Gordon R. Smith, corresponding secretary; and Mrs. Ralph E. Reese, treasurer. Mrs. Don O. Willie is parliamentarian; Mrs. Aaron G. Brown, librarian, and Mrs. Orin L. Lund, historian.Members of the board of directors are Mrs. J.W. Christiansen, Mrs. Verlegean Farman, Mrs. Dennis A. Pearce, Mrs. Margaret Cowles, Mrs. W.C. Dangerfield, Mrs. Jay Williams, Mrs. John Johnson and Mrs. Valois Zarr.
New section chairmen are Mrs. Helen W. Taylor, art-junior; Mrs. Willard Hanson, bridge; Mrs. Henry Tanner, drama/music; Mrs. Margaret Cowles, history, tourist and civic affairs; Mrs. Orin L. Lund, book chat section "C." The press chairman is Mrs. Cleone M. Sproul.
The club fall festival fund-raiser and luncheon will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
