George J. Talbot, Brigham Young University travel study director, has received the Administrative Excellence Award from the Division of Continuing Education.
In presenting the award, Continuing Education's Associate Dean Wayne Lott commended Talbot for more than 20 years of dedicated service."He has done an excellent job of directing one of the most successful educational travel programs in the world," Lott said.
Talbot started in the Division of Continuing Education as operations supervisor of Travel Study in 1973 and later earned his master's degree in accounting from BYU. After serving as the division's comptroller for 10 years, he returned to Travel Study as associate director in 1988. He became director in 1992.
