JARED HARPER, Orem: Senior rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in leading the Tigers to a 34-14 5A quarterfinal victory at Hunter. A team captain, known as "Moose" by his teammates, scored on runs of 99 and 64 yards. He has more than 1,000 yards on the season.
"He's really been a big factor," said Orem coach Paul Clark. "Not only is he a good runner, he's also a good blocker."
JENNIFER SNOW, Highland: Senior team captain helped lead the Rams to the 5A state volleyball championship. Her block produced what proved to be the match-winning point in Highland's 15-8, 15-6 victory over American Fork in the finals.A student body officer and ZCMI model, Snow will continue her career at the University of Utah. She was recently named one of the top 36 prep volleyball players in the nation.
