Janet Lynn Sant died peacefully at 3:39 a.m. on November 13, 1996 at University of Utah Medical Center, after extended cancer therapy. She was 47.
Janet was born November 18, 1948 in San Francisco, Calif., to Maralynn and Leo Sant. She was raised in Los Altos, Calif., educated at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and graduated from BYU with a BS in clothing and textiles and a MS in special education. She taught for 17 years in Salt Lake area elementary schools as a resource teacher and was active in many civic and professional organizations. Janet was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission in Peru 1971-72.Janet is survived by her parents, long time residents of Los Altos, CA, who recently moved to Salt Lake City; three sisters, Julie Schenk (Brent), of St. Louis, MO; Jennifer Miller (Paul), of Novato, CA; and Jill Johnson (Brian), of Tulsa, OK; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Springtree Ward Chapel, 5605 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah on Saturday, Nov. 16th at 11 a.m., where friends may call one hour prior to service. Funeral directors, Larkin Sunset Lawn.
