Lela Hancock Anderson, 81, died peacefully on November 14, 1996.

Born June 29, 1915 in Bluebell, Utah to Martin and Lydia Hancock. Married LeRoy Dell Anderson on October 11, 1935 in Vernal, Utah. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She inspired those around her. She loved to sing, sew, cook and grow beautiful flowers. As a member of the LDS Church, she served in many primary and relief society callings over the years and loved to teach children.Survived by: her husband; four daughters: ReNae (Jim) Sparks, Bountiful, Utah; Irene (Jim) Eyre, Tillamook, Oregon; Carol (Karl) Eyre, Vancover, Washington; Darlene (Steve) Woodland, Taylorsville, Utah; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ray Hancock, Byron Hancock, Shirl Hancock and Brent Hancock; two sisters, Ruby Roberts and Merle Smith. Preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Hancock and Bud Hancock; sister, Norma Steed and a granddaughter, Jill Marlor.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 1996 at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may call 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
