A twin-engine passenger plane crashed on approach to an airport in northern Guatemala on Friday morning, killing all 14 people aboard.

The airline, Transportes Aereos Profesionales, said 13 victims were Guatemalan, and the other, Ana Debora Johns, an American. No hometown was given.The Brazilian-made Bandeirante went down six miles west of Santa Elena airport, which serves the provincial capital of Flores. It had taken off from Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City about an hour earlier.
