Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Jon Reed Boothe, was called home November 19, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah, at the age of 64.
Born October 26, 1932 in Honeyville, Utah, to Hyrum M. Boothe and Paulie Tolman. Married Faye Winborg January 21, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple. He served as a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Kiwanis club.An accomplished landscape architect, Reed served for as Director of Planning for the city of Bountiful from 1965 to 1992. Under his leadership, Bountiful became a city of beautiful homes and gardens.
He shared his knowledge and talent freely with neighbors, friends and family. He was a faithful life-long member of the LDS Church.
Reed is survived by his wife, Faye; daughters VeAnn (Greg) Schaefermeyer and Kathryn (Wayne) Gelder; 11 grandchildren; brother
LaMont Boothe and sister Helen Pack.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 25th Ward Chapel at 1500 South 600 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 No Main, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
