Sterling Reed Swensen, our loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, died December 12, 1996, S.L.C., of Parkinson's disease.

Born September 8, 1909 in Murray, Utah to Oscar E. and Hilda Anderson Swensen. He married Ethel Stocking on June 5, 1939, she died August 25, 1994. He worked at Naval Supply Depot as a carpenter during World War II; self employed as a painter with his brother and nephew for many years. He loved working in his picturesque yard. He loved music and taught himself to play the organ. He was an accomplished carpenter and took great pride in the grandfather clocks that he built.Dear Daddy,

From the very beginning,

we've known you were there,

Always strong and ready,

strength and love to share.

Thanks for all the sacrifice

to make our dreams come true,

And even for the discipline,

when it was hard for you.

We ought to tell you often,

we're thankful and so blessed,

For when God made you, Dad,
