On Sunday, December 15, 1996, our husband, father, grandfather and great great-grandfather, Henry E. Banham, was released from a lingering illness.

Born December 5, 1916 in Bradford, England, a twin son of Arthur and Mary Ann Ellard Banham. Immigrated to America in 1927. Married Erma L. Young, August 18, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, but never retired as an auto mechanic. He loved music and entertained family and friends with his piano talent, playing music as he heard it. Another hobby was poetry, which he wrote and also memorized works of others. High Priest holding various positions in the church. He loved his family and church, and exemplified good work habits.Survived by his wife; two sons and two daughters, Edward (Wanda) Banham, Ronald (Beverly) Banham, Karen (Mervin) Brown, and Cindy (Greg) Shoop; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters, two brothers, and a daughter, Sharon West.

Funeral services Wednesday, December 18th, at 12 noon, Winder 6th Ward, 4366 South 1500 East. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday evening - family will not be present. Viewing and visitation with family on Wednesday, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the Winder 6th Ward. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Family suggest contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
