John L. Eastman, 63, died December 16, 1996.
He was born March 29, 1933 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Wendell and Adalyn Decker Eastman. He married Leone "Lee" Hanson on March 24, 1956. John served for 22 years in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman. He was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. His last duty station was in Salt Lake City, where he and Lee fell in love with the mountains and made it their permanent home.He is survived by his wife; mother; sister, Alice (Pete) Watkins; daughters, Laura (Alan) Todd and Joanna (Kevin) Ballew; grandchildren, Jennifer McCracken; Michelle Ballew; Jamie (his right-hand slave and buddy) McCracken; and Amanda Ballew; and loveable guard dog, Brandon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
Memorial services will be held the week of January 6, 1997. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
