Did you ever think they'd jazz up Kellogg's corn flakes? Kellogg's hopes you'll try its new Honey Crunch Corn Flakes "with nuts and honey." The 15.1-ounce box was recently found at Smith's for $3.79.

Nihla Lake (married, two children at home): "Good old Kellogg's corn flakes finally got into the nut 'n' honey mode. It tastes a lot like the others on the market, but Kellogg's seems to have perfected the `crunch.' The last flake in the bowl resisted the soggies. And one other bonus, where else can you get `Cornelius' merchandise - hat, watches, T-shirts? Our family enjoyed this cereal."Edyth Jensen (married, one daughter and two grandkids at home): "This is a very crunchy cereal. It is also very sweet. I didn't notice much of a nutty flavor either. It did stay crunchy in milk and didn't sog up much. At nearly $4 a box though, I don't plan to purchase it in the future."

Don Russell (married, five children at home, ages 6-16): "Although they're almost too sweet for their own good, we rather enjoyed these corn flakes. Kellogg's adds an appealing nutty (almond) taste that makes you want a few more flakes before you put the box away. The folks from Battle Creek say you should get 20 servings from each box, with each serving costing you about 110 calories plus milk."

Linda C. Tingey (single mother, two teenage boys at home): "Thank you, Kellogg's, for putting some zip into plain old corn flakes. I liked these corn flakes being a little crunchy. The flavor was excellent. This helps them so they are not so limp in milk. I'll definitely buy these over regular corn flakes."

Rich Firmage (married, four children, oldest 11 years old): "I like regular corn flakes and I also like these new honey crunch corn flakes. My daughter and I sat and ate them right out of the box for a while and she liked them also. I don't know if I'll buy them again, because there are so many different types of cereal. If Kellogg's is lucky I might find them and buy them."

Bill Allred (single): "This is a pretty good Kellogg's cereal if only a bit too sweet. It is, however, the price which would give one pause. The price of many cereals has come down in recent months because sales have fallen off. But the price of this one remains way up there at about $3.79 a box. It's not that good. I'll stick with some of the old favorites that are a bit cheaper these days."

Conclusion: Another really great new product that might get passed by because it's too expensive. Perhaps the crunch is worth forking out a bit more moola. If you're a big corn flakes fan, you may want to test this yourself.
