Tooele County voters did more than approve a $10 million school bond in the last general election. They extended hands to the isolated residents of Wendover, who have not felt like citizens of the Utah state. The school bond approved includes various improvements to schools in and around the city of Tooele, but the priority of the bond is a $4.4 million elementary school for the children of Wendover, who have been lacked proper facilities for education. They deserved better than that, and Tooele residents understanding the situation voted in favor of the new elementary school.

The feeling that the Tooele County School District had stranded them changed after the election and the parents and children at Wendover, Utah, want to tell every citizen in Tooele County how much we appreciate your help. Also we want to recognize the beautiful job done for Mr. Paul Skiles (superintendent of Tooele School District), Mr. Bob Linnell (governor's office) and Mrs. Lorena Riffo (director of Spanish Affairs). The rights of equal education were preserved by the wonderful citizens of Tooele County. Once again, thank you very much.Heber N. Rodriguez
