Country singer Reba McIntyre, Utah's first big-name skiing injury of the season, was released from University Hospital Thursday, leaving behind a glow of pleasant memories among hospital staff members.

"She injured her left knee in a skiing accident sometime Wednesday," said hospital spokesman John Dwan. "Her husband drove her down from Park City."The couple arrived in late afternoon or early evening, and she had minor knee surgery around 7 p.m. She spent the night and most of Thursday at the hospital and went home in the afternoon.

"Of all of the VIPs and show-business people that I've dealt with here, she's one of the most pleasant," Dwan added. She was cheerful and friendly, and the hospital employees enjoyed visiting with her, he added.
