Attorney F. Lee Bailey says he tricked prosecutor Christopher Darden into asking O.J. Simpson to try on the bloody gloves at his trial.

Bailey told the New York Daily News he goaded Darden into one of the biggest prosecution blunders of the trial after first trying on the gloves himself."I tried them on, (defense attorney Robert) Shapiro tried them on, and we knew they would never fit O.J.," Bailey said in the interview published Wednesday.

Knowing they wouldn't fit the strapping defendant, Bailey said, he taunted Darden: "If you don't ask O.J. to try on the gloves, I may!"
