Edna Emily Walker Williams, 79, died peacefully in her sleep, February 13, 1996, in Provo, Utah, of cancer.
Anticipating her passing, she referred to it as "my graduation ceremony." In the past several weeks, literally hundreds of family and friends crowded her room to share their love and bid farewell.Born 10 August 1916 in Cedar City, Utah to Reuben Herbert and Annie Elena (Ash) Walker, she was one of 10 children; Joseph Blaine, Benjamin, Myles, Ambrose (all deceased), Donald Keith (Glendale, Utah), Herbert Ash (Cedar City, Utah), Zola (deceased), Jack (St. George, Utah), and Dee (Elko, Nevada).
Edna's greatest legacy is her caring and unselfish service to others, as a wife, Mom, grandma and friend. She leaves an empty place in all our hearts and lives.
Funeral services, being handled by the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, will be held at 12 noon on Friday, 16 Feb. 1996, at the Sunset Stake Center, 1560 South 1100 West, Provo, Utah. Friends and family are invited to visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Cedar City Cemetery.
