Our wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Edith Baker Christiansen, 91, passed away peacefully in her home on February 25, 1996.

Born February 18, 1905, in Provo, Utah, to John William Baker and Lillian Cluff. Married Henry Joseph Christiansen on June 17, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1986.She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Edith was a very talented, loving and caring person. She excelled in quilting and making lovely gifts for her family and friends. She was an avid gardner and enjoyed her membership in the Flora Culture Garden Club. She was a lifelong member of the DUP and attended meetings until her health failed.

Her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her everyday delight. They never missed sending her their special love, no matter the occasion. She loved her summer home on the Weber River where she spent many wonderful hours with her family members.

Edith is survived by her sons, Don (Carol), Doug (Merlee), Reed (Judy); daughters, Kathy Flitton and Janice (Wayne) Doman; sister, Wilma Thomas; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 1996 at 12 noon in the Parley's Third Ward, 2615 Stringham Avenue. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 1996, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, and at the ward, preceding the services from 10:45 to 11:45 am. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
