Ned Douglas Stansfield, age 78, died February 24, 1996 at his home in Tooele.
Born August 19, 1917 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Irvin and Schrelda Nicholson Stansfield. He married Thelma Marjean Peck, May 12, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He was a veteran of World War II, and retired from Dugway Proving Ground in July 1977. He was a retired professional magician, and had been a professional interior and exterior painter and decorator. He was an Elder in the LDS Church.He is survived by his wife, Marjean; sons, Nate D. Stansfield, Wendover, Nev.; Brian Dale Stansfield, Thornton, Colo.; daughter, Rhonda Janine Wheeler, Stockton, Utah; sisters, Betty (Mrs. Vaughn) Barney, Mt. Pleasant, Utah; Joyce (Mrs. Charles) Ming, Mesa, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, 1996 at 1 p.m. in the Tooele Stake Center, 253 So. 2nd East. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the church on Thursday. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery. Ned has requested no flowers.
