Venna Holbrook Bangerter, age 89, passed away Feb. 27, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born March 7, 1906 to Alfred "Monte" and Olive Freeman Holbrook in Bountiful, Utah. She married Homer Bangerter, May 6, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death June 13, 1986.She was an active member of the LDS Church, a member of DUP Camp Emma Summers Call and a member of the West Bountiful baseball team which won the 1920 Davis County Championship. She was well known for her homemaking and gardening skills.
Survived by a son-in-law, Cecil N. Bahr (Mary) and two daughters, Venna Maurine (Bowen) Lewis of Kaysville; and Kathleen (Verne) Davis of Bountiful; 29 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Bahr and brothers and sisters, Millie Phillips, Owen Holbrook, Harry Holbrook, Evon Holbrook and Bernice Harvey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2 1996, 11 a.m. at the Bountiful 22nd Ward Chapel, 1470 No. 300 West. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 No. Main, and Saturday morning one hour prior to services at the 22nd Ward Chapel. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
