Garth Brooks wants country music radio stations to honor the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing with a moment of silence. Then they can play his bombing-themed song "The Change" - if they want to.

Brooks, an Oklahoma native, pitched the April 19 memorial moment - and his song - in a letter sent to about 2,600 radio stations and printed in Billboard. Some aren't viewing it very kindly."It would just mean a lot to me, as an Oklahoman, to see the country music family salute its Heartland on this day," Brooks wrote. The letter suggests a moment of silence or prayer at 9:02 a.m. CDT, the time the bomb went off.
