Billy Dee Williams, charged with slapping his girlfriend, must get counseling.
Los Angeles Municipal Judge Barry A. Taylor said Friday that Williams must participate in 52 sessions. Another hearing was ordered Oct. 8 to determine if he was obeying the order.Deputy City Attorney Brian Williams said the actor, whose films include "Lady Sings the Blues," "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," received "no added benefit or burden because of his celebrity status."
The 58-year-old Williams allegedly attacked his girlfriend, Patricia Von Heitman, 53, while driving home from a restaurant Jan. 30 and later after parking in the garage of the Hollywood Hills home they share.
