Jay LaVon Howell, age 82, passed away March 5, 1996 in Nephi, Utah.
He was born December 30, 1913 in Nephi, Utah to Willis Henry and Emma Adelia Miner Howell. He married Joy Rasmussen, April 6, 1938. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.He was an active member of the LDS Church. He worked for UDOT and retired from NRP. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and especially his garden.
Survived by his wife of Nephi; two sons, Allen and his wife Tamra of West Jordan; DeVon of Nephi; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 1996 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the stake center, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery.
