A Salt Lake woman found dead early Wednesday in the passenger seat of a car is being called a homicide victim.
Police received a 911 call about 12:45 a.m. from a man who said he could hear gunfire in his neighborhood. When officers responded to the area, they found blood at 550 E. Stringham Ave. (2290 South).A short time later they discovered the dead woman in a red Chrysler Lebaron at 618 E. Driggs Ave. (2370 South). She had apparently died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to a Salt Lake Police report.
The identity of the woman, 35, has not been released pending notification of kin.
A second unidentified woman was shot in the right arm. She apparently drove herself to an area hospital where she called police.
There are no suspects. Details were sketchy Wednesday, although investigators think the slaying is drug related.
