Jose Abelino (Abbie) Giron died April 10, 1996 in a Murray Hospital of cancer.
Born June 15, 1934 in Vallecetos, New Mexico to Jose Adan and Rosanne Domingus Giron. Married Marian Montoya, February 27, 1954 in Copperton, Utah; later divorced. Member of the Catholic Church. He was a long time locomotive engineer for Kennecott.Survived by children: Carol, Frank, and David Giron, all Las Vegas, Nev.; Steve and Celeste Giron, Herriman; Ed Giron, Garland, Texas; Al Giron, San Diego, Calif.; Robert Giron, West Jordan; 10 grandchildren; and the children's mother, Marian Giron of West Jordan; brother, Miqueas Giron, and sisters, Dulcinea Velarde, and Gertude Roberts.
Rosary will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 West, Riverton, where friends may call one hour prior. Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the West Jordan Cemetery.
