Devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed peacefully away, on Saturday April 13, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born June 21, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James T. and Esther Christensen Shaw. Married DeLoris Larsen March 29, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple.Actively involved for 41 years in the military, World War II veteran, involved for more than fifty years in scouting being awarded the Silver Beaver. Actively participated in Neighborhood Watch. He was a High Priest in the LDS church and served in various callings including dedicated home teacher and faithful temple worker. One of the highlights of his life was to serve a mission with his eternal companion at the Hill Cumorah Visitor's Center.
Survived by his Wife, DeLoris, of 51 years and their six children; Pennie and David Kirby; Jennie and Bob Halander; Karen and Rex Roblyer; Dennis and Sherri Shaw; Hal "Larry" Shaw of Reno; and Michael Shaw, 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 17, 1996, 12 noon, Rose Park 2nd Ward, 1160 West 800 North (East Chapel). Viewing will be held Tuesday April 16, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
