Thanks to the new love of his life, Luciano Pavarotti says his voice is soaring and his girth is shrinking.
In an interview in Rome with the gossip magazine Chi, released Thursday, the singer declared himself "in love like a little boy" with his 26-year-old secretary, Nicoletta Mantovani."And I'm singing as if I were 20 years younger," he added. "I want to live with Nicoletta until the end of my days."
Pavarotti and his wife of 35 years, Adua, agreed to separate last month after Chi published photos of the tenor and his secretary walking arm-in-arm and kissing.
