Tonya Harding has obtained a restraining order against her estranged husband, saying that he has threatened her and kicked in her bathroom door.
"He threatened to make me have pain," she wrote in her request for a restraining order against machinist Michael Smith. "He also has come after me and he broke a table and would not leave."The restraining order was granted Thursday in Oregon City, Ore.
The former figure skating champion, still on probation for her role in the attack on Nancy Kerrigan, filed for divorce two weeks ago after just 3 1/2 months of marriage.
Smith did not return telephone calls seeking comment. But his mother, Doris Smith, defended her son.
"I'm just upset to see she would stoop back into the lying and deceit and the trying to control public opinion and make someone else look bad," Doris Smith said.
