Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon for Eduard Rudolf Dreier, 69, an architect who died April 20, 1996, at an Ogden hospital following an automobile accident.

The services for Mr. Dreier, who was an architect in Utah and Nevada for 47 years, were held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.Mr. Dreier, who lived in the Holladay area, was born in Bern, Switzerland. His "progressive designs contributed greatly to contemporary architecture in the area," said a son, Guy Dreier.

Mr. Dreier designed hundreds of homes, served as a design juror at the University of Utah and lectured at Brigham Young University. His designs have been published nationally and internationally. Mr. Dreier was chosen in the 1950s to join architects in designing Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
