Loraine McIntosh Carlson, age 81, passed away suddenly, May 9, 1996.
Born August 2, 1914 in Salt Lake, to George Samuel and Anna V. Hallgren McIntosh. Married Kenneth Andrew Carlson, Ocotber 5, 1931. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kenneth preceded her in death, March 19, 1991.Loraine was a gifted musician, poet and artist. She was very loving, kind, sweet-spirited person. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Served in several positions in the LDS Church. Worked briefly in the Granite School District lunch program. Loraine will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors: children, Donald K. (Glenda), West Jordan; Larry A. (Sandra), Park City; Deon (Jim) Lindquist, Sandy; David (Carol), Holladay; Victor G., Salt Lake; 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene; two sisters, Serina and Darline. Preceded in death by sister, Marjorie and daughter-in-law, Faye.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Monday. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
