Smith's Food and Drug Centers Inc. has opened its 36th store in Utah, this one a 54,000 square-foot unit at 600 South and Main in Cedar City.

With 60 full and part-time employees hired from the Cedar City area and employing a total of 85 people, the new store carries 55,000 food and drug items and features a pharmacy, bakery, video rental and a section for multipack and industrial-size boxes.It also has PostNet, an in-store postal and packaging service box rental service.
