Robert H. Rogers passed away May 16, 1996, at age 74, after a year of illness. As Air Force 1st Lt. during World War II, he spent 22 months in a German POW camp. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1946, and spent his career in corporate tax, finally serving as Director of Tax at Northwest Pipeline Corp., until retirement in 1983. He had a zest for life and remained very active, enjoying skiing, genealogy, travel and playing with his grandchildren. As a member of the First Congregation Church on Foothill Dr., he greatly enjoyed his work as a volunteer, particularly as Greeter.

Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Helen Rogers, and one son. He is survived by his wife; children, James, Daniel, Linda, Patricia and Joan; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane and Betty; many cousins, nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be Saturday, May 18, 1 p.m. at the St. Catherine of Siena Newman Center, 170 S. University Dr. (University of Utah).
