Leo Comer Powell, 81, passed away peacefully, being reunited with his wife Clarece, who preceded him in death by four months.
Born May 31, 1914, in Lehi, Utah to Leland Powell and Grace Comer Powell. He married Clarece on July 29, 1939 and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They made their home in Bountiful, Utah where they raised their family of five children.Leo strived for perfection in all he did in his personal and professional life and instilled that desire in his children. He served very faithfully in his church callings.
He was a self-motivated and educated man which led him into leadership positions at Lang Co. and Interpace.
Leo is survived by his five children, Patricia (Vern) Rogers of Bountiful, Utah; Leslie (David) Youngberg of Centerville, Utah; Cleo (Robert) Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona; Joel (Cindy) Powell of Bountiful; and Colleen (Clark) Taylor of Bountiful; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Wade) Marsh.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 1996 at 12 noon in the Orchard 12th Ward Building, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may also be received at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, between 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening, and at the ward building 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
